ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB), once again, extended the deadline of investigation process completion regarding mega corruption scandal till November 15.
According to NAB sources, officers are investigating as many as 149 corruption scams. The accused in the these mega scandals include Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif, former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, ChaudhryShujad and others.
Sources added that NAB is investigating the scam against the Sharif brothers on charges of misusing authority in construction of a road from Raiwind to their family home, thus misappropriating Rs126 million.

The office announced to complete the investigation till September 30 but deadline could not be met. They got extension till October 30 but again the officers failed to complete the reports with evidences in time. Now the NAB chairman finally extended the deadline to November 15, 2016.
If the Bureau is not able to find evidence in the cases, then it will have to close cases against key figures including PM.
