KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Thursday that Pakistan’s defence products’ exhibition at IDEAS-2016 sends a message of army’s possession of latest weaponry which can be used to tackle any aggression.
The chief minister said – while talking to media persons at the Expo Centre during his visit of the exhibition – that Pakistan’s armed forces is strong enough in training, equipment and weapons production and ‘high-spirited due to the public’s support.
“These weapons are for defence purposes – means for peace – because we (Pakistan) don’t believe in aggression but in love and human development,” Murad said. The chief minister congratulated the nation over its evolved defence industry – which stands parallel with the developed countries’industry.
According to a statement, Murad witnessed the defence exhibition after attended a session at the provincial assembly. He visited various stalls set up by different countries and was briefed by the stall organisers on their production and presented him a model of tank, a helicopter and several books.
